Excellent Sprint Now Commercial

Lets face it, most TV commercials pretty much suck. But, once in a while, one comes out that’s a real gem. This commercial for the Sprint Now Network is a perfect example. It’s extremely well done, and it actually made me laugh out loud when I saw it on TV tonight.

The commercial was produced by Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, here in San Francisco. They’ve also built a pretty interesting website to go with the campaign.

Get Delicious Library 2 for FREE

The other day I wrote about the excellent Mac Software bundle, called Macheist, where you can get about a thousand dollars worth of Mac software for just $39. Since then they’ve made it even better by adding 2 more apps to the bundle, and they have a special offer to get Delicious Library and Multiwinia for free. All you have to do is tweet a pre-written line of text about the Macheist bundle.

I personally don’t tweet, that is… I don’t use twitter. But, after a quick 2 minute signup, I was able to get $59 dollars worth of software for nothing. Not a bad deal if you ask me.

If you want this deal, you better hurry, as Macheist is only going for 1 more day!

Breaking News with an iPhone and Twitter

U.S. Airways Crash Rescue Picture

It’s truly astonishing how quickly we can distribute news these days. A guy named Janis Krums was a passenger on a ferry crossing the Hudson River this morning when the U.S. Airways plane crash-landed in the water. Janis’s ferry was diverted to pick up passengers from the plane, and as his boat approached he snapped a picture with his iPhone and uploaded it to Twitter. Within minutes of this disaster happening, it was available for the entire world to see. I find this utterly mind-blowing.
