If you liked my previous post, featuring the music video for Leonard Nimoy’s Ballad of Bilbo Baggins, then you’ll be thrilled (as I was) to know that the song is available via iTunes, along with a whole lot of others.
That’s right… it’s Spaced Out – The Best of Leonard Nimoy & William Shatner. This album features 24 wonderfully bad tracks, including William Shatner’s Lucy in the sky with Diamonds and Mr. Tambourine Man.
Who could forget Nimoy’s rendition of If I had a Hammer, his cover of Johnny Cash’s I Walk the line, and yes his Ballad of Bilbo Baggins. I especially like his instrumental song… Music to Watch Space Girls By.
This is a must have for any Star Trek fan.
If you don’t use iTunes, or you would just rather have the CD, you can buy it from Amazon as well.
Oh, and as long as you’re grabbing Star Trek music, don’t forget the Nichelle Nichols (Lt. Uhura) album, Out of this World, which features a vocal version of the official Star trek theme.
