Mint Referrers & Google Images

Mint Referrers List

If you use Mint to track your site’s traffic, you know how useful the information can be. However, if your site is anything like mine, your referrers log is practically useless, because it is full of Google Images referrals.

Luckily, there is a way around this. Login to you installation of Mint, and click on “Preferences”. On the right-hand side of the page there is a form field for you to enter a list of referrers that you don’t want to show up in the list. Adding “” to the list will filter it out of your Newest Unique referrers list. Doing this doesn’t prevent Mint from counting the visits, it just removes them from the Newest Unique list so it is a little more useful.

Unfortunately, isn’t Google’s only image domain. They have a bazillion of them, and they add more every day. Below is a list that will get you started. Simply copy/paste the items into the form field in your Mint preferences. You don’t need to separate them, Mint can take a comma separated list.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
