One of the biggest complaints I hear about Apple’s new iWeb software, is the inability to leave comments on the blogs it creates. Well, now you can… thanks to iComment.
iComment is an application written by Chad Brantly. It’s not a perfect solution, but it definitely fills a need. iComment works with the free commenting service, Haloscan…
“HaloScan provides a free, easy to use commenting and trackback service for weblogs and websites, allowing visitors to leave feedback, share their opinion, or comment on the subject at hand.”
Basically, When you set up your blog in iWeb, you insert a small bit of text into the page. Then, you run your iWeb blog through iComment, and it converts that bit of text into links, compatible with Haloscan. You can find more information here. I haven’t tried it personally, but it seems pretty straight forward. Oh, and did I mention… it’s free! Well done Chad!
Cool!! Finally… my prayers have been answered!!
This is awesome. You are awesome. iComment is awesome. What is The Matrix?
You wouldn’t happen to have iComment? Chad’s website is currently down….
It looks like Chad’s site is back up. :)
Please don’t say rubbish…update your news…iComment is not anymore free, you have to pay the licence (10 $) anyway is not the quickest way or the best…
It doesn’t work, wast of money… Please refund my money…
