DTV: Open Source Internet TV for the Mac hits Beta

DTV

Participatory Culture Foundation has announced the first beta version of DTV is available for download. With DTV, users can watch videos from RSS feeds, subscribe to channels in the built-in Channel Guide, manage feeds, and watch videos in full screen. The Foundation says that it is like podcasting, but oriented around video instead of audio.

I just downloaded it, and I’ve only had a chance to briefly play with it, but so far it looks very cool. Apps like this could spawn a new generation of Vloggers (video + blog = vlog).
