I’ve been blogging for a little over a year now, and I think I’ve put out some fairly interesting content. According to my Webalizer stats, I had over 40,000 visitors last month. Yet, the one thing that continues to surprise (and disappoint) me is the lack of comments to anything I post. I’ve probably only had about 20 comments in all that time. Is my content that dull? Are my stats crazy and no one is really coming here?
Please do me a big favor. If you come here, leave a comment on this post as sort of a virtual roll-call. You can just say “Yo”, or “here”, so I know you really exist. Thanks.

You are great!
(Happy self assurance.)
I love the site.
Its full of interesting tid-bits that I would never have the time to find otherwise.
And each time i read it, i am slightly more inclined to switch to Mac … someday.
Love your site :)
Just wanted to say ‘Yo’ for you.
paul, see my way-too-long comment on ‘IE Sucks’
I check in 2 or 3 times a day, so I am skewing your numbers.
Hey look, I exist!
Your blogs are entertaining and interesting.
I’ll keep reading if you keep writing.
We exist =P I went and bought a mac mini after a week of reading your site, thanks to you I’m hooked on tiger =/
Hi Mike C,
Very, very cool! I’m glad you’re liking Tiger.
Thanks to everyone for chiming in. It makes me really happy to hear that you like the site, and I’m glad to see that you really exist ;)
Your site is great, people probably get so hooked to reading your content, they don’t have any time posting any comments.
2 thumbs up :)
Hello from Canada! Great site – love it – visit it daily – even when you were on vacation I still checked, hoping there might be something.
Same way with my blog nobody comments yet I get IM’s saying they like my blog. I like yours too just whenever I read I’m always doing something else you’re in my visit daily bookmarks folder so I’m here everyday.
ODL is one of the first good blogs and one of the few I’ve kept. I read all your stuff. I don’t get comments either — but in my case, I know why! Keep it up. Love the content, love the design.
I just came across your website the other day and have been reading throught it often, you have some great stuff, keep up the work!
Love your site. And I sympathize with your puzzlement at the lack of comment. On the other hand — at least you haven’t had the problem of comment spam!
Thanks, glad you like the site. Unfortunately, comment spam is the one type of comment that I have had an abundance of… hundreds and hundreds. Fortunately, I’ve taken a few steps and haven’t had a problem in a while.
Thanks again to everyone who has stopped by, keep those comments coming. :)
Walked out this morning
Don’t believe what I saw
A hundred billion bottles
Washed up on the shore
Seems I’m not alone at being alone
A hundred billion casatways
Looking for a home
I know how you feel! Keep up the good work.
Never been here before, but will start checking it out. And I love leaving comments — weird as they may be. :)
Sorry about never leaving comments. You do have some very interesting reads. I’m just usually not in a situtation to comment when I read your blog. But keep up the great work! I enjoy reading this blog. One of the few that actually interest me.
I’ve been blogging in one fashion or another since 1999, and I’ve only had a handful of comments too. I do enjoy your site, and visit several times a week.

I check out your site once in a while…
You rock… keep it up.
Ah, sure now, it’ll be alright now. You should count your RSS feaders, and then count your blessings that you don’t get spammed.
Hi there, I found your website a couple of days go by accident. I think its great, very interesting and looks way cool. I have downloaded Nvu and aim to have a go at my own website one day, what proram do you use for yours?
Thanks, I’m glad you like my site. This site is built using WordPress, so I don’t usually need an HTML editor. For other sites I build, I usually use Macromedia Dreamweaver. I switched to Dreamweaver a couple of years ago from Adobe GoLive. I switched because Dreamweaver is more of an industry standard. That being said, from a designers point of view I personally think GoLive is a better product. Of course this is all up in the air now that Adobe has acquired Macromedia. One product or the other is probably going to go away.
For those of you who didn’t see my post about Nvu, it’s a free WYSIWYG html editor.
