Adobe has officially announced Creative Suite 2 (CS2). It has new versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, GoLive, and version Cue, as well as the recently released Acrobat 7.0 Professional. It also has a new app called “Bridge” that is a replacement for the file browser in Photoshop. Bridge is available in all the Adobe apps, making it a much more useful browser.
CS2 will start shipping in May, and will cost $1199.00 (Pro) and $899 (Standard). Adobe is also offering upgrade pricing on the entire bundle for previous owners of CS1 or Photoshop only. Amazon is offering slightly lower prices then buying direct from Adobe. Click here to check current prices at Amazon.
My big question has been… where’s After Effects CS2? Hey Adobe, I’m ready and waiting.
Macworld has put out some excellent “first look” articles on all the new apps…
