Over the Christmas holiday we got to catch up on some movies. One of them was Bill Murry’s The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. This movie had so much potential. I still really liked it, but like most movies I thought it needed some farily serious editing. It’s not that it is unusually long, it just had too much footage for the story. It would have been great at about one hour long.
I though it had some great performances from Willmm Defoe, Bill Murry, and Owen Wilson. It had some hilariously accurate parody of those old Cousteau documentaries from when I was a kid.
If you like Bill Murry, and his kind of goofy / off beat humor, you’ll probably like The Life Aquatic.
It was a bit slow at certain parts. Over all, I enjoyed it.
